I searched high and low for a silk dressing gown or kimono for a friend here in Austin, TX, a city of 1m people. Nothing. I turned to Amazon and found this supplier and I have been hugely impressed!

The kimono arrived in an especially attractive box within the outer packaging. It wasn't just sealed in a plastic bag as with some suppliers. Really, the box itself was a work of art.

The Kimono is beautiful indeed. Being quite knowledgeable about the grades of silk, what surprises me is the lack of visible flaws. This is indeed great silk. The design motifs are tastefully and creatively executed.

All in all this was a superb purchase and, I feel, excellent value for money.

The quality and beauty of this dressing gown are top notch. It is lovely to wear and looks beautiful. Anyone hugging a person wearing it will feel the silky texture running through his hands.

The only problem is that I had to pay an extra �28 for customs and a Royal Mail handling fee as it comes from the US. I would rather have paid the customs cost within the postage and avoided the handling fee.

I don't think it would be big enough for anyone of or over UK size 16. I would prefer a longer sash so that I could tie it at the back rather than at the front.

The craftmanship in this robe is beyond my highest expectations. It is better than pictured and all I can say is it was a BIG hit! Do not think twice, this is a special gift for a special person and if they are not a "special" person they will be after opening and finding this as a gift.
